According to a post on X, this decision is part of a broader update by the platform, which has eliminated all hashtag emojis, not just the one associated with Bitcoin. The removal, however, was not publicly announced, leaving users speculating about the reasons behind this apparent change.
Democrats urge Harris and DNC to select crypto-friendly Vice President, SEC Chair
A range of Democrat politicians wrote a letter to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) on Friday, urging the party to pivot away from its anti-crypto policies. In the letter shared by the vice president of research at Riot Platforms Pierre Rochard on X, the Democrats advised the party to take a “forward-looking approach” to digital assets and blockchain technology. According to the letter, despite Democrats like Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer supporting pro-crypto legislation, the public largely sees the Democratic party as being anti-crypto.
Senator Elizabeth Warren claims foreign ‘cryptomines’ being used to spy on the US
US lawmaker Senator Elizabeth Warren has continued her anti-crypto evangelism despite her thinning support base. On July 25, she opined that foreign-owned crypto-mining operations pose a national security threat during a hearing of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs.
