Editing API Keys to Keep History Intact
Over the past few days, our team has received a lot of emails regarding API keys following the recent breach of e-mail addresses earlier in the week. While re-adding API keys is not completely necessary, it is one extra step you can take for the security of your account.
For users looking to change an exchange account’s API key but would still like to keep past data related to said exchange account, using the ‘Edit’ button will do just this. This button can be found on the far right of each API account on the Coinigy accounts/API page (as shown in this blog post’s accompanying picture). Simply replace the related API information with the new key (i.e. API key, secret, etc.) and you should be good to go. Let us know if you have any questions!
We are still completing a full security audit of the platform, and we hope to have trading enabled next week.
Thank you for your patience and please keep an eye on this blog for further updates.
