President Milei Walks Free as Donald Trump Faces Crypto Lawsuit

Happy Monday to those of you who ride with us. We’ve always brought it to you, and we ain’t ever stopping…. Because the year was 2009, and Satoshi had dropped the Bitcoin white paper with no name, no face, and just a little string attached, along with a quiet little document that said, essentially, "What if we didn’t need any of them?" Hasn’t taken too long after that before Germany’s biggest savings bank network is out there selling Bitcoin through a mobile app. A classic testament to crypto’s inevitability.

And on the not-too-far side of the spectrum, Mr. Crypto President has been sued for $2 billion over a deal with the UAE, citing the Constitution. In 2026. Over a stablecoin. And in reverse fashion, Argentina's president Javier Milei has just walked away clean and unbothered from that one memecoin scandal that wiped out thousands of retail investors in under 24 hours.

Here are the highlights:

  • Circle Shareholder Sues Trump Over $2B UAE Crypto Deals
  • Bitcoin holds near $80,000 as oil retreats and the Fed decision looms
  • Argentina drops criminal probe into President Milei over crashed memecoin LIBRA
  • Germany’s main savings bank network launches Bitcoin trading

The transactions at issue are a $500 million agreement for a 49% stake in World Liberty Financial and a separate $2 billion investment in Binance funded with World Liberty’s stablecoin.

The tone was set at the weekend, when Arthur Hayes said his Maelstrom fund sold its entire directional book, including 6,400 ether due to macro and geopolitical risk.
