Trump Buys Burgers With Bitcoin at NYC Crypto Hangout PubKey
Former U.S. President Donald Trump continued his overtures to the cryptocurrency industry Wednesday when he sent a Bitcoin transaction during a stop at PubKey, a crypto-themed bar in New York. Trump made the stop at the Manhattan bar ahead of his rally in Long Island on Wednesday. A Fox News video shows the Republican nominee entering the pub and then, with PubKey staff's assistance, completing a transaction, becoming the first U.S. president, sitting or former, to publicly use the Bitcoin network. Trump bought burgers at the bar, according to a PubKey social media post.
Bybit’s World Series of Trading 2024 becomes the first global crypto competition to integrate DEX Trading

Congressman Wiley Nickel (D-NC) has voiced strong criticism against the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), accusing the agency of undermining trust in the regulatory system because of its “regulation by enforcement” approach. In a recent social media post, Nickel called the SEC’s approach a “blatant abuse of power” that risks stifling digital innovation across the US. The Congressman has been a vocal proponent of crypto and consistently pushed for a regulatory framework for the industry to ensure customer protection.
US SEC intends to seek sanctions against Elon Musk in Twitter probe
Sept 20 (Reuters) - The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said on Friday it intends to seek sanctions against Elon Musk after he failed to appear for court-ordered testimony for the regulator's probe into his $44 billion takeover of Twitter. In a filing in San Francisco federal court, the SEC said the sanctions motion would seek an order to show cause for why Musk should not be held in civil contempt for waiting until three hours before the scheduled Sept. 10 testimony to advise he would not show up.
